communication and letting the employees they hire for specific functions to do those functions and not just overrule

Better pay, being more open to remote work, helping out more on the team when it is needed instead of throwing more work on maxed out people, be more transparent

Allowing decisions to be made outside C suite. Maintaining focus as an organization. Invest in the company rather than focus on meeting AOP so they can pass out a bonus -most employee bonus are insignificant. More long term thinking and investment for the future.

Financial compensation and employee recognition.

I understand having a stronger financial standing is important, but could be paid better, could have better benefits accommodating 'skill learning plans' ie credit towards any course/program in edx, udemy, etc. Could have fitness benefits like a discount on gym memberships, Snacks and Merch, etc.

The mean for other genetic counselors with 12 years of experience in non-direct care positions is $28k higher than my base salary according to the 2023 NSGC PSS. I'm easily in the bottom 25% for this category. Awesome benefits and low employee turnover (job security?) help.
