They need to lead by example, instead of edict. Can not manage employees. Barely manage numbers. They show no concern for employees when it comes to a balanced lifestyle or mental well being.

3M reduced 401K matching from 6% to 5%.

They took away all insentives about 6 yrars ago and they push for more and the plant in valley Nebraska they are forcing 12 hour shifts every day 7 days a week worked 23 days straight 12 hour shifts

Very poor the wage structure is low even for our area. If we had about half as many office people sitting around surfing the net then maybe the working man could get a decent raise. In the 80's 3M was the best job around best benefits best pay around. Now we have different retirement structures.

We recieve cost if living raises every year but it has been a while since we actually recieved an actual pay raise.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Quit with the moral busting, as long as the products are getting made and the machines are running safely. Let the workers sing, let them enjoy there time at work. A happy worker is a productive worker.

They force us to work 7 days a week, even taking our holidays. The only way we get a day or full 2 day weekend off is to use our precious vacation time. We are forced in on weekends, only to not have much to do during the work week. That needs to change now, no matter what.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There's a lot of overtime in our department.

Let employees have some input in the hire pool, we work with these people we know if they really can work or not. To the powers that be they are just a piece of paper.

Hourly employees are treated badly, regarding time off work on weekends and most holidays. Employees are demoralized and demotivated. Management just needs to manage numbers better, put a priority on employee well being, consider a 5 day work week, and stop using holidays as work days.
