So far my experience at Appian has been great. I feel challenged enough to be excited about my work and there multiple aspects that can be improved. I know that if want to challenge something in what we do, I will not be in any danger.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with the people and the possibility of my work shaping the group I'm part of.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The salary is pretty well aligned with the market at this point. However with more strategic responsibilities the payment should be increased.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people are very smart and work well together. The culture is one of openness and so far I have not seen any examples of someone not being listened, discriminated in any way or feeling visibly negative about the workplace.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They really care about the company; the founders are very involved. They seem to have empathy and care about the people in the company. It is still early for me to evaluate closely and form a much better opinion but so far the feeling is that they very good intentions.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team mates are good people, professional and very fun to be around. We had the opportunity to spend a couple of days together at an office team workshop and it was a great experience. Outside of my team I am also very impressed with the quality of the people in the London office.
