Overall, a good experience. I have been with the bank 35+ years. My biggest complaint is, in my experience, legacy employees are not adequately compensated for the stability and contributions they provide to the company. I felt I had to transfer to a different department to receive decent pay

Thankful for the opportunity have 37+ years with FMB. This year I am especially grateful for health insurance and a manager who graciously allows time off for appointments for a medical condition.

Sick time used during Short Term Disability to cover the 40% not covered by the STD insurance so you still receive 100% of your pay

Even though my position doesn't allow me to work remote, there have been times First Merchants has allowed me to work from home after appointments or during bad weather.

I feel legacy employees are not adequately compensated for the stability and knowledge they bring to the company. I transferred to a different department in order to get a decent pay in
