We went from a small bank that everyone loved to only caring about results. We have opportunity for remote work full time, advanced technology, better work live balance, but we don't or can't. Other companies are taking better care of their employees than we are now - prompting looking elsewhere
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
As we grow, the benefits and flexibility declines. Seems the goal is not about how big we can grow instead of taking care of our employees first. Seems when frustrations are voiced, they only matter at employee engagement time, then nothing changes.

Small feel - comfortable size which makes my coworkers relatable.

family feeling, positive support, personal - in our local areas or the next state, same values and ethics

We are still small enough to deliver personal meetings about our company goals and they are present in communication.

misconstrued question - who is defined as "leadership team". My department lead or the FMB whole bank leadership?

Collaboration with most of them, willingness to help one another, ability to talk and get to know them even while working.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are still small enough for personalization amongst employees. We make a difference in our communities and that is an encouraged focus. Generally when you call someone they are pleasant, helpful, and eager to help with a resolution.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
better flexibility, better benefits and pay. We are the biggest asset, but get mid level pay at best, below level benefits, and very little perks. Research the happiest employees - its because of how they are treated and rewarded!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The employees - we are all real and share day to day experiences. We are supportive and have a common goal. Like the small home feel of our job - just want to do well and go home feeling accomplished.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Merrit increases for good performance that would make it beneficial to stay vs finding a new employer for better pay. If we are valuable, why force us to go elsewhere for better pay? Better benefits (not just medical) look at top employers -they offer a LOT to their people

Work from home was taken away which was a huge perk, employee appreciation shouldn't be annually, pay is mediocre at best in comparison to the market since we have grown, you should never take away vacation time due to job change status once awarded, Look at top rated companies perks - do better
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Better communication across all levels - I can rate that I believe in them when I don't know where we stand. Early retirement, cutting expenses, and a lot of talk about mergers has many employees concerned about our future. Many employees left other banks for that reason - growth isn't always good
