Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

It's been very positive experience. I could absolutely see myself being a career individual here.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Their diversity and forward thinking.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They seem actually invested in us as people. There are widespread ERG organizations, competitive benefits, and an inclusive culture.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

There is usually a healthy team player mentality. There is a lot less "us vs them" at this bank than I'm used to.

What are some of the best things about your team?

They are just a wonderful, eclectic group of people. There is a lot of diversity in this team, and I look forward to seeing them every time I go into the office.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The culture itself is just really accepting. If something goes wrong, or you're treated badly in any way, the company handles it. They believe in their folks here at FMB, and I'm proud to be a part of that team.

What makes you most happy at work?

Knowing what to expect on the day to day. I know exactly the work I do, and the parameters of which to do them. The training was incredible, and even if questions do come up, the team here is very good at assisting.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

It feels like they care about me. That's not something I could necessarily say about financial institutions I've worked for in the past. Even if there is something they can't do for me; I can tell that they at least tried. That feeling goes a long way.

What makes you most happy at work?

I like knowing what the limitations of my position are, and exactly what I can and cannot do. I'm much more used to having a position with a vague set of responsibilities, and while I very much love being in management, it is a nice change of pace.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation is not competitive. I feel great about the work I do, and I love the organization to tears. However, I struggle with the realization that we are paid very low compared to our peers. There are a lot of wonderful perks, but nothing is better than better pay.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The pay is the only aspect of the company that is not competitive. The local banks have a higher starting rate for all positions. I think to truly be the most competitive bank, with 0% brain-drain, we need to incentivize individuals to want to make the leap from our competitors, and to stay.
