It's been four months working at this branch. They have hired a new service associate. I'm worrying I will be neglected in learning more since training wasn't sufficient and I have been placed at drive-thru. I don't enjoy working under my manager currently.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Birthdays are celebrated. That is all that seems positive.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I have been placed in drive-thru by force and pay wage isn't satisfactory compared to the workload.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Management should ask before placing a service associate at the drive-thru position. I was placed there by force and had to no choice, but to accept it. Co-workers should not talk bad about customers after he or she leaves.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Service Associates receiving $16 per hour seems low compared to all the tasks and knowledge we have to know and do. Higher pay wage will help out financially since inflation and cost of living is expensive. There should be better benefits for employees at First Merchants Bank.
