After working at larger companies like Google and Facebook, Instacart feels like the perfect size. We're established enough to have processes/precedence, but scrappy enough to still be able to pivot quickly and make an impact. That's something I've really come to enjoy about the culture here.

Instacart has been a place I've been able to grow, as well as bring my own spin to programs/projects that belong to me. I feel true ownership of my work and appreciate that greatly!

Connecting with my teammates and feeling like I can still be myself. Having the autonomy to determine my schedule, and also being able to introduce new projects.

The fact that we're a large enough company that is profitable, but still small enough that you can make real change here without as much redtape as companies that are larger in employee size
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team invests in all of us as a collective, as well as individually. We encourage each other to take time off and know that we have each other's backs if anything comes up. We regularly brainstorm about how we can work better together, which is something I appreciate.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
One great example is how we went from a hybrid working model to a flex first working model. After employee surveys on remote work, we heard that most employees would prefer a flex model, and Instacart delivered. Employees have a voice at Instacart, and Instacart is willing to enact change.
