Since I started during COVID, I don't have a full grasp of the company culture and environment but even with that impediment, I feel like the company has made me feel "heard" and like my position matters to the overall company success. I feel like what I do at Instacart makes a lasting impact.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The salary is fair, the equity is respectable and I love having free health care that isn't the bottom barrel plan offered by the insurance company.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love the commitment to the corny food-related puns and references. I like that Instacart is supportive of the ERGs and have done what they can to make all employees feel included and supported.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like being able to present my product and process improvement ideas to other teams. More importantly, I love that I'm actually heard - my ideas are getting the feedback that I hoped for and I feel like they'll be implemented.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like that there's regular interaction between the executive leadership team and the rest of the company. When we have all-hands meetings, the leadership is not afraid to answer uncomfortable questions even if they don't know the answer or the answer is not ideal. Honesty is really important to me.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My core team (Product Support Analysts) is really great to work with and everyone is willing to do their part and help out when needed. Product Ops/Support as a whole is a great group of intelligent and driven individuals and I love working with people who have the same drive that I do.
