Marriott – not very good. the "higher ups" treat you badly. they dint care if youre sick or having family issues the only thing they care about is you being at work 5-6 days a week. I said i needed to chabge to part time and my supervisor said "yea not sure if that will work" | Comparably

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

The people in charge just need to be kinder and act like they have some humanity and empathy in them when they talk to their employees or their employees are talking to them. Theyre rude and entitled. I only stay because i need a job and money and like my coworkers.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I make $18 an hour and front desk makes more. But I work in food and beverage and we do a whole lot more work than them and also have to deal with the same rude entitled or sometimes kind people who come in, and we have to clean too. We should have at least 10 free nights a year most hotels do it.
