SPS Commerce – The overall experience is great, but it is hard to be loyal when the pay undervalues you and your work. SPS generally pays less than other companies for similar positions and they try to make up for it by providing soda and coffee (amongst other perks), but I would rather just have higher pay. | Comparably

What makes you most happy at work?

My teammates and interactions with people.

What makes you most happy at work?

Interacting and collaborating with other teams/individuals.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They are personable and nice.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Because SPS hires young people, the culture is lively and fun. I really enjoy people across SPS.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is so helpful, knowledgeable and hard-working. I have great teammates that care about me as an individual and we all respect each others strengths and working style.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

SPS welcomes all personalities and strengths. People who don't fit in at other companies find that SPS is a very welcoming place. They feel comfortable here and find friends.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

SPS underpays customer success employees. There are no clear expectations on how to get promoted on my specific team. I am not happy with the compensation and there is little room for growth or negotiation.

What are some of the best things about your team?

I work with a small team and some of them are wonderful and easy to work with. Some of them show signs of significant burnout and haven't been pulling their weight, only doing the absolute minimum.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Paying based on market value is not a fair way to pay, especially when it is the same position for a different business unit. I don't believe the team I am on gets paid fairly and we have little opportunity for growth within the team.
