Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I have grown immensely in my professional career and have recommended numerous friends/family to apply for jobs at SPS. I think the culture and team environment as well as work/life balance is unique to SPS and I love being a part of this team.

What makes you most happy at work?

I like being recognized for hard work as well as provided appropriate tools and staffing for us to feel successful.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I love that the company is successful. There are countless job opportunities and I feel that managers encourage learning and growth of every team member.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is like a family - we all can be honest with each other about our day/projects/workload, and everyone is willing to help out when possible.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We all get along, I feel comfortable being honest with my co-workers, and we have good rapport when it comes to working on projects or getting together for team gatherings.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I don't think SPS is competitive with the market value for jobs nor do they compensate employees fairly with annual raises/bonuses. I also struggle with the current workload and feeling like I'm overworked in addition to underpaid.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

I love working for a company that encourages teamwork and collaboration as well as success. There's a fine balance between keeping everyone happy and doing what's best for the business and I respect that leadership sometimes has to choose the business.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I think the most positive thing is that I can tell the company is growing and is very successful (continuous quarters of growth and additional acquisitions) and I love that management encourages career growth and finding the right role for each individual.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

I think the leadership team does a great job growing the business and providing employees with an idea of what the leadership team is working on as well as what we're doing as a company to take it to the next level in the business.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

When you look at companies of the same size and with similar job opportunities in the Twin Cities, similar jobs have average salaries significantly higher than SPS. I want SPS to be more competitive when it comes to salary, especially with how much we are growing and the work on our plates.

What makes you most happy at work?

I am happiest when I don't feel like there isn't too much work for me to possibly accomplish in a day. I appreciate being busy and never bored - but when my workload is so big that I can't possibly get enough done in a week/month and projects get delayed due to resourcing, it's tough to be happy.
