Sorenson has been a company that has done so much good for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. Over the years many have said our biggest threat has always been the FCC. Which I agree with. It will be good to diversify and not be so reliant on the FCC for revenue. Diversification is important!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The mission and services that we provide.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
FCC has made it very difficult to compensate adequately. This is a political problem as well as a reimbursement problem.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The team is very open and very willing to help the company succeed. All are willing to make tough decisions. All are able to work across departments. The team is starting to gel more.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like challenges. I like collaborating with my team and teammates. I enjoy and feel good about the services we provide. And I really believe the team does focus on ethics. We just have a few knuckleheads that ruin it every so often.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The openness and willingness to work across departments. I feel everybody at the exec level is gelling. I feel the departments have become somewhat fragmented due to the new "at home" culture we now have. Also feels like there is less connection with employees downline because of less interaction
