Such a pleasant work environment. I'm naturally shy and introverted, and it's nice to have short, friendly interactions with colleagues in the common areas and with my teammates. And it's so nice to hear happy voices and occasional laughter from all around the office.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Generous and flexible Wellness Benefit: covers my personal trainer, trying out a yoga class, and a nutrition consultation. Plus it almost doubled since COVID began, I used for several massage sessions I would not have splurged on otherwise. Invaluable!
What are some of the best things about your team?
Genuine helpfulness. There's no competition between team members, incredibly: our managers deftly mask who made an error, simply ask us to fix this problem. No embarrassment, it's just another problem and we fix it. I never saw this before joining Adobe.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Vocal and friendly promotion of diversity. You can see looking around the office; I don't need to be told Southeast Asians are welcome, I see faces of my home country's neighbours. Similarly for other races, nationalities, home arrangements, sexual and gender preferences. Very human.
What makes you most happy at work?
Freedom to set my daily schedule and approach to my tasks. No micro-managing, where I might be hesitant to try a new approach, even if it's swapping a morning task to afternoon if I feel it requires more focus at a time of day there are fewer meetings.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are as creative in solutions and using limited resources as I have ever seen leaders, and they encourage the same in us. I am always free to try a new idea to improve efficiency or scalability, and just as free to abandon without embarrassment. Same for errors, I feel always truly supported.
