I've been very frustrated over the years. Not a lot of room for growth once you reach senior manager. I'd like to see more women and POC at a leadership level, not just stats on the overall breakdown of the company. I feel like I am constantly fighting for more opportunity.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The benefits are very helpful, especially in the age of COVID.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They are hard working, we are a full team and respect one another and have no ego about the work we do.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being challenged and having exciting opportunities. Being able to try new things and innovate. Adobe is extremely risk averse and can be stuck in their ways a bit.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
More promotions for women and POC. The leveling at Adobe is very far off from the rest of the tech world. It's nearly impossible to get to director, sr. director, etc. and the criteria isn't clear. Several employees have reached that criteria and been denied with no clear explanation.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
A full audit of salaries and equal pay. Especially companies that come from an acquisition - it is so difficult to get pay at an appropriate level. Even if someone is promoted to a higher level, they could still be underpaid simply because ERC says the percentage increase is too high. Ridiculous.
