Executive Bio

Mr. David McCartney serves as President of Carquest North America Division at Advance Auto Parts Inc., since June 2017. Mr. McCartney served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations and President of Carquest North American Operations at Advance Auto Parts. Mr. McCartney joined Advance in January 2014 with the acquisition of GPI. He began his career with Carquest in January 1985. He served as Division President for Advance Auto Parts's South Division from April 2016 to June 2017 and previously served as its Senior Vice President, Store Operations from January 2014 to April 2016. With Carquest, he served in a number of leadership roles including President, Carquest U.S; President, Chief Information Officer (CIO), GPI Technologies, LLC; Executive Vice President, Supply Chain; Senior Vice President, Inventory and Pricing; and Senior Vice President, Distribution Center Operations. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the automotive aftermarket in sales, operations and supply chain. Mr. McCartney earned his bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University.
