How helpful everyone is and down to earth. Really good people
Respectful, willing to listen intently, and will act quickly to resolve issues.
They are Very people oriented individuals
Allowing my schedule to be altered because of unforseen events(Heart Attack)
Very understanding, fair, and easy to talk to. Treats all employees as equal. Effective calm communication.

Many have never worked in an Advance retail store. They have no clue what happens and very little experimce if any
Treating people better with humility.
Work together as a whole
Communication with staff members and be more helpful in training

Everything, starting from GM and below
401K is decent, other benefits are ok
theres a lot of benefits to choose from
I the compensation packet I guess is fine
Im mot sure i havent heard about it
I like the 401k plan.
Pay us 25.00 and hour and all managers should get at least $90.000 yearly
Benefits are poor compared to similar employers. Fast food pays considerably more with far less complex job duties.
Part time worker and work harder than half the people there and get hours cut
Compensation is based on zip code. We process returns for an Indianapolis facility that makes 25% more than we do, yet we do their work.
I'm retired and the employees I work with are very understand rpaid
We all work together to get things done. Issue is that manager brings in people from other stores, cuts team member hours
It's a revolving door of employees.
How personable they all are
they have great knowledge and are helpful and rapidly responsive
Fun people enjoying life and laughing their way through work.
The only one that needs to improve is the store manager , does not know his ass from a hole in the ground. Very unhappy with the way the whole company is ran when it comes to how the employees are treated,

Get a manager who knows what their doing.
Leave phones in cars, stay in working areas, have an urgency to the job completion
They need to learn to stop ridiculing others
Get rid of GM is the best way
The most positive thing is helping customers
It seems like when my store manager comes out of meetings and we're going over numbers. We're always looking at ways to improve and he's always opened ideas and constructive criticism.
Culture of Safety Culture of Productivity
Employees' willingness to always go above and beyond for customers, especially those who are elderly or in need, despite the fact that they themselves do not experience the same treatment (ie: empathy, consideration) from their employers.
Moat people come to work.
Fair compensation, safer working conditions, better communications
The industry and our pathetic consumer culture.
New leadership. Current leadership has little or no culture
Management that has legitimate education or experience would be a start. Current management has a 7th grade mentality for how they prepare for meetings or training.
Company needs to appear to care about stores, front line workers and customers, not just looking at making the highest margin and ripping off the customers
My interview was back in 2019, I don't really remember it.
The District Manager Mentor did my interview back in 2023. I liked how he described your responsibilities and roles you would have to do and just the way he presented the company was great.
It was quick & efficiently.
it was short and sweet and knowledge of the position was described well
Constant contact to ensure you know where things stand.
I dont know maybe more positive people
Having a respectable management team
Get rid of the computerized hiring process
Don't lie to people your interviewing tell them exactly what goes on so they don't in to be like I did. And the background check needs to go fast it took a entire month to get my background back and every where else is like 1-2 days at tops 3 days.
Start appreciating team members with knowledge and skills to run the stores instead of outside hiring
When they stick to the fact I am supposed to be a full time worker and don't cut my hours (paycheck) back
I'd use to enjoyed going to work now its very disappointed and getting ready to quit after 6 years of loyal service at the company im being pushed out of the store by disrespect
Visiting commercial a/c's & fullfilling their automotive needs. Also its nice when they know you by your name. Also learning new things about products & operations.
Being able to satisfy customers on a daily basis and making their day so much better
Great job with challenges to get better all around.
Out of touch corporate management has no idea of what customers want or need. Just look at the Advance Auto website and social media. Everything is out dated and trivial.
Again, compensation for support personnel ought to be higher, especially when you see what your Executive counterparts who greatly depend on you are making.
Review from Admin Dept
The store manager always has a attitude with anyone customer that wants product then us drivers hear about it. The manager didn't do anything about one of his drivers hitting a customer car all he said was oh it didn't record it so I'm not going to believe the customer
Whoever put the people at the top in charge needs to resign.
The only way to salvage this company is to complete a full turnover of management down to the CEO. The company is in the shape it's in due to allowing management at all levels to continue the slow hemorrhaging which will ultimately lead to either of the two clearly ahead competitors to absorb AAP

Ability to stack Speed Perks.
Meeting new people

Pay. And assistance in staffing. Flyers don't do it. And let us roll over vacation hours, since a majority of employees can't take them, due to lack of coverage.
