What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

Very knowledgeable, always seems to have the correct answers to questions.

Review from Executive Dept · Posted 5 hours ago

They are aware of my personal goals and have a willingness to depart knowledge and information to assist along the way, long as it aligns with their plans.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted a day ago

What I like best about my leadership team is their willingness to collaborate, support one another, and remain focused on achieving shared goals. I appreciate that they are approachable, receptive to new ideas, and committed to continuous improvement, that creates a positive/productive environment.

My favorite part of the leadership team at The Sheraton Grand is that each individual actively cares about the success of the teams as a whole and the success of the hotel. When things need fixing, they are calm and fair. When things are going well, they shower their teams with praise.

They are always open minded and willing to hear you out and guide me.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Communication is the most important thing. Our leadership team expects broad communication but almost always fails to reciprocate the same.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

Better communication as well as listening and understanding what is being said from another perspective.

The leadership team needs to improve by reducing micromanagement and placing greater trust in employees. Empowering trustworthy team members to do their jobs without constant oversight or fear would foster a more positive, productive, and confident work environment.

communication would truly be a welcomed skill in addition to departmental consideration

Stop taking out their anger about what is happening in their lives on us.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

Honestly, at times I find myself well outside my core responsibilities, not that I mind specifically. But, I am only paid for the one job.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted a day ago

As someone who has worked in management in a variety of different capacities, I was dismayed that pay for management was on the lower end and that there was very little flexibility for said rates.

Posted 2 days ago

Prefer more pay when taking on multiple roles.

Posted 2 days ago

Recently promoted and found out my peers at my previous level were being paid more than me prior to promotion so now my promoted amount is just getting me to where my peers on my team below me are. New associates are starting out a higher rate than associates who have been here 5+ years.

Higher pay. I live check to check with no room to have a savings. The cost of living is expensive.

Open communication, trust and consistency . I know what to expect for better or worse.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted a day ago

The best thing about my team is their willingness to support one another and work together to solve challenges. I also appreciate the team's resilience, adaptability, and commitment to delivering quality results, especially during periods of change or high workload. Also trust and accountability.

Review from Finance Dept · Posted a day ago

We all come to the table with our different personalities and quirks, but this is what has made our team stronger. We all recognize our strengths and weaknesses in real time and work together to accomplish all of the goals of the day.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Less attitudes and more getting the work done in a timely manner.

The industry is struggling to pull qualified candidates. We would benefit as a company to have more training per leadership position. Many leaders struggle with what is expected from them that are typical hotel leadership duties. Aimlink is great, I think there needs to be some in person courses.

Not take everything so personal. I don't feel like I can be myself around them.

Review from HR Dept

The corporate office team is hard to work with

Not say " its not my job " . Cooperate at work and not let one person do the job. Clean up after themselves. Help each other. be respectful to each other.

What I appreciate most about our culture is the people. There is a genuine willingness to support one another, celebrate successes, and work through challenges as a team. The environment encourages open communication, respect, and collaboration, which makes it a positive place to contribute and grow

Review from Finance Dept · Posted a day ago

The culture of the hotel is very uplifting, but also professional. We all compete to have the highest GSS or the most name mentions, and that really fosters an environment of happy, supportive, and eager individuals.

Review from Admin Dept

Practice what we preach, better leadership, caring about the employees and showing it

Review from Operations Dept

Management needs to be on top of work , it feels as if they don't want to take responsibility and all the work is given to only two managers out of 9.

It was direct and to the point.

I got hired very quickly.

Review from Executive Dept · Posted 5 hours ago

Completing task while learning and eventually understanding the hows and whys of it all.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted a day ago

Ability to affect change in my department and the excitement from the team in doing so.

Review from Finance Dept · Posted a day ago

At work, I am most happy when I am able to turn someone's day around. It isn't always easy to approach someone who is visibly upset, but being able to work with them to provide solutions and to put a smile on their face makes all of the hard work and bad days worth it.
