  • It can feel like being at a college here: lots of interest groups, gaming, anime, music, ethnic, religious groups, and so on. Company also hosts occasional beer bash, party after special events for those involved, and so on.

  • Highly depends on the team. Some are friendlier than others. Also, they are not big on diversity of opinion. If you don't drink the Kool-Aid, you will become ostracized.

  • Not as well as you'd might think. Their HR department is not an advocate for the employee, but rather an advocate for the company. If there is a problem, they have your back only insofar as they want to keep you from rocking the boat. They are not really HR, but more a group to help put fires out when things go wrong.

  • For Recruiters, it's near the top of market, ie, same ranges for the others in FLAAG. It *was* better several years ago, but they altered the bonus structure. The work from home flexiblity seems to make up for it.

  • Apple is an intense place. I could probably manage my time better, but I still work well over 40+ hrs a week. That said, better than start ups or other places where they require facetime.

  • Apple Park is mostly open office layout. No doors. Quiet. Pleasant. Lots of walking. Amazing building.

  • Greatly depends on what building you are in. IL offices are a lot of private offices (though very few single occupancy). Many other buildings are cubicles, some private offices, etc.

  • For the most part, very good. Apple expects a lot from its employees (and I do mean, A LOT). However, they are not afraid to show their appreciation through compensation, including stock, comp time, and cash payments.
