Belk Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Time off, Vacation time, coffee

Could do with a better bonus

I am now back to flex employee after Christmas I was promoted then demoted...I can't tell because HR never does what she says...I'm still waiting for a store review I was told I would get. Meanwhile one shift a week.

The best part about my compensation package is the bonus payments.

Review from Sales Dept

The rate of compensation that I receive

Review from Sales Dept

I really don’t need the compensation packag

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I worked very hard. And it was not noticed

Only full time employee at my location

If they stopped mentioning every two seconds that, "we pay so well, you should be lucky" but only paid me better based on my race and who I knew.

The fact that in the past my pay has cut, there is more to working in a today's retail store-I don't just ring at a cash wrap all day-there are tables to straighten, fitting rooms to attend to, go-backs to take to their areas, clothes picked up from the floor, hazards to be dealt/to area safe, etc

Pay what the competition pays.

Higher pay and more stable schedule

Iam a good worker Better pay more hours Better store manager The other managers do everything Not impressed with store manager

For the amount that is expected doesnt match pay

Correct favoritism. Those who call off incessantly are excused and favored. Those who are always reliable are missed. Many are senior. Our store has moral problems. I have my MBA, I work at Belk while dealing with health issues. I don't let this interfere with my work ethic. Our store managers

Equal pay. Some Managers just get hired from outside and get paid more than you. So unfair

Acknowledgement, understanding, appreciation, compassion, and effort

Im a beauty advisor who can earn commission but i spend more than half of the day acting as a regular register which takes away from and even runs off beauty or fragrance customers. Don't tell someone they can earn commissions but set them up to not excel.

Realistically. Do not make an employee a lead & expect them to perform manager duties.

Pay fairly. Everyone should get more than a 30 cent raise.

New employees coming in at the same rate a seasoned employee is crazy. Especially when a seasoned employee has at least 5 or more years under their belt part timers don't get benefits

maybe if they actually would follow up with competitive pay

Pay more cause you do more than what they pay

Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Dont upset the manager, everyone pays the price. Not being compensated for work being done. 15.00 an hour to rush around to try and accomplish the work of 2 to 3 people. Never fully completing!

Lots of promises, just to be unfulfilled due to staffing limitations and hours allotted for each positions

There is absolutely no praise unless you are getting credits for the store. Part time compensation is non existent. Most companies give part time employees psid vacation and petsonal days, but. It here. This also contributes to call outs on critical days.
