I love my job! I love working in cosmetics at Belk! However, I do NOT like the pay. I should not be struggling to make ends meet while working 30-40 hours a week as a COLLEGE STUDENT! $9.69 is not cutting it anymore. I should not have to pick up a second job just to survive.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was hired on the spot! Very comfortable environment.
What makes you most happy at work?
Remembering my customers names and their shade of foundation/ which products they use! Always puts a smile on their face.
What are some of the best things about your team?
All of the associates get along great. We are truly a family, as we spend more time together than we do at home.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like that my store is a family, however- several of my superiors abuse their position by letting their job title get to their head.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We are one of the top rating stores company wide! We have pretty good communication and are always pushed to meet our goals. Although it is a little much at some times- its worth it for the company recognition. The only issue, our pay does not resemble all of the hard work we put in.
