Get in touch with the employees that actually make the company run day to day. Realize that a rail job isn't the lucrative job that it was 30 years ago. Lots of other jobs in the world the pay better, have better benefits and a far better quality of life.
Health benefits are the worst for management. If you are union labor you have far better and cheaper benefits. Up to 4% raises (many didnt get that much) when COL increased 8%. Bonus program needs to be true profit share. Now its whatever the executives decide. No accountablity to it.
