The culture I least liked was in St Louis while working there. I am glad I got out of that town and moved to work at a Boeing site in another state.

Asked to all employees at Boeing

  • None

  • Depends on the team. I have seen both good, when an intern is given a real task, and bad, when they are given busy work just to keep them occupied

  • Boeing is a great place to intern, groups receiving interns work to expose the intern to a broad scope of activities and their is training and mentoring available through corporate offerings during the internship.

Asked to all employees at Boeing

  • Interesting work and great pay!

  • If you are passionate about aerospace engineering. There is no other advantage.

  • I started to ask myself the same question after having worked in a bad group for four years. You may end up in a good group doing interesting or boring work but the group culture is what helps you get through it. If you end up in a bad group such as I did, it can wear you down. It's also tough to transfer at Boeing too, You really need to luck out at times to get a job offer at a different site, especially if it is in another State.

  • Hard worker with a positive outlook

  • It changes from manager to manager. Generally, desire to change things and make them better is always helpful. Our recruiting system tends to pick the middle of the pack, but some managers cherry pick the very best.

Asked to all employees at Boeing

  • I think there's a lot of job security at Boeing. It's pretty rare to see people go except after a massive hiring wave. However, I never really know how close I am to being bumped out. I don't think my boss is looking out for my career or success in the company. My old boss cared a lot and kept me aware I had good job security. Now, who knows?

  • I am critical to my organization's success and I'm being laid off because a completely different group decided there was a surplus in my job title. No job security, even when you think it's there.

  • Hard to say. I rarely see people laid off, but my boss doesn't make me feel confident in my future at the company at all. My old boss did, but those days are over.
