Q&A With Change.org Employees

At Change.org, we work to dismantle the systematic barriers that keep people apart. That’s why we act on our responsibility to build and support a team that authentically represents the diversity of anyone that comes to our platform, today and into tomorrow. Change.org’s immediate goal is for our organisation to reflect the beautiful and diverse world we inhabit. We are actively questioning and working to disrupt systems that lead to oppression. We see our work in fostering inclusivity as a constant process to improve ourselves, the places we work and the world around us so that everyone can thrive. And we do so with integrity, honesty, and humility at every step in that journey.

  • As a whole, the company culture reflects what you might expect of a non-profit / start-up ... even though it's a B-Corp. There are quite a few seasoned people here who have been with the team for over 4 years, but even new people coming on to the team feel like a part of the family. It is definitely a company of introverts, so if you want something you need to be explicit about what you need. As far as diversity, the team is pretty balanced in women/men ratio. Though higher level executive positions seem to be dominated by men. Racial diversity still needs work but the team is conscious of the problem and is looking forward to addressing it in further hiring efforts. Pretty lax work from home policy, everyone here is very hardworking. So even though we ask people to take care of themselves both physically and mentally, you are expected to be excellent in your role. Hope this helps.
