I feel like most of the people working here are really nice to be around

It's probably because we're pre-IPO, but I feel like there's more of a sense of teamwork and less ladder-climbing/politics than I felt at my prevco (although I'm starting to feel some of that).
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone I have worked with here feels like an all-star engineer. They all remind me of the one or two outstanding engineers I used to work with on each team at prevcos, but it's the whole team.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I really appreciate the transparency about our runway/burn rate and wins/losses. The explanations for the decisions (for instance the acquisition) all seem well thought out and don't feel like the product of yes-men and shooting from the hip, unlike my prevco
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I've been witness to multiple controversial product decisions that were clearly the result of internal politics, and at the expense of our users. It really bugs me when people put their resume ahead of what's good for the company/team.
