Cinemark USA Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

They pay well and have a good 401k

Free movies whenever I want

Free movies and 50% off of food and drinks

The best part is seeing movies for free.

All employees are allowed to watch free movies at our location.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Solid benefits at low cost to all full time employees.

Review from Operations Dept

Watching free movies in comfy chairs

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Yes but I need answers

I feel undervalued because my GM wanted to fire me for fighting for my wages but couldn't, so he took me off the schedule & changed the door codes so I couldn't come in for work.

Compensation is not adequate for the amount of work Cinemark Employees do. Management and floor staff alike get poor pay. Low pay is slightly negated by the relaxed environment and free movies.

Get paid more for all that we do

Starting pay is well below starting pay in pretty much any other customer service or food service job in our area.

I work hard hours dealing with awful people almost everyday. It is definitely not worth $9.25 an hour to get yelled at by random customers who are mad at something I can’t even control, spending most of my entire shift standing or walking (I have walked the equivalent of 8 miles in one shift befor

My GM made sure that his managers were being paid fairly. Another Cinemark in my city had managers starting at our concession's rate. Besides pay, though, there was literally no benefits to talk about. PTO accrual was pretty much there to not break any laws - 0.23 PTO per 40 hours work. Horrible.

The economy in general needs a raise let alone every employee.

Review from Operations Dept

I help run three departments and I am always under scrutiny

Review from Sales Dept

Much higher hourly rates, lower concession prices, better policies about breaks, smoke breaks, medical relief during shifts, regulated and better operation hours

Review from Sales Dept

Pay is one of the lowest in Illinois, suppose to get raises and evaluations every 6 months and it’s almost

Review from Sales Dept

Hours could be better, and employees concerns should be heard and dealt with better

Review from Sales Dept

I wish the workers were reminded of their good work.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Never got a raise when I was supposed to and I did more than was expected

Review from Sales Dept

192 days working in one important project, traveling without a proper compensation, also several improvements and money savings were done during migration not taking into account
