I loce the majority of them but I dont get into the clicks within management I stay to myself
They talk down to me
The manager team in the Oak Ridge Cinemark where some of the most nicest, most encouraging people I've ever met. They made sure to tell me when i was doing well with customers and always took care of me when ever i needed to schedule time off. Genuinely the best bosses I've ever had
They are helpful toward employees
They are great at handling customer complaints
Everything. They walk around and group together and sit uo in the office.
Communication and less blaming, more accountability.
Transparency and training. The Gm constantly yells at his staff instead of leads and coaches. There are people born leaders, and people that just like control. This GM just likes control and the employees constantly suffer because of him.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Respecting company policies, checking their employees, not getting too close to them, actually helping for once, and more. I could go on all day about what they need to change. There are a few respectable employees and managers among the majority of terrible ones.
They need to communicate with the employees
They pay well and have a good 401k
Free movies whenever I want
Free movies and 50% off of food and drinks
The best part is seeing movies for free.
All employees are allowed to watch free movies at our location.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Yes but I need answers
I feel undervalued because my GM wanted to fire me for fighting for my wages but couldn't, so he took me off the schedule & changed the door codes so I couldn't come in for work.
Compensation is not adequate for the amount of work Cinemark Employees do. Management and floor staff alike get poor pay. Low pay is slightly negated by the relaxed environment and free movies.
Get paid more for all that we do
Starting pay is well below starting pay in pretty much any other customer service or food service job in our area.
Hardeorking coworkers and show more effort than most of the management team
We all work as a team
we care and know our jobs
We're very efficient during rushes
We all get along and know how to work together
Older management talks down to everyone
Find better structure. We depend on management
Do the work required to be done
Cut the bull, cut the drama
Actually work and not talk
Me and a few other managers believe in the company and regardless to the things going on we oush foe the best out of everyone even though were not respected for it
I always wanted to do my best because it rarely felt like work. If you love the overall vibe of cinema, you'll like working at a movie theater
Its like beingbwith friends except the management team gossips like hugh schoolers
Customers can be great to conversate with
The spirit that employees and certain managers bring into the room.
Employees need to take the job more seriously and put in more effort.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Seeing workers as people and not bodies is hard with such a high turnover rate; but how else are they going to want to stay, let alone be motivated to put in high quality work? Too many write-ups for benign things. Way too paranoid and strict for anyone to enjoy their time here.
Review from Operations Dept
Better and more enforced policies for customer and staff safety and comfortability, higher wages for staff members, more reliable management expectations to be met
Review from Sales Dept
There's always room for improvement.
Review from Customer Support Dept
General manager needs to get more in touch with staff rather than just management
Review from Sales Dept
Getting to know my senior management team
How quick and professional it was. My interviewer told me that they specifically look for people with artsy hobbies, so if that's your thing bring it up.
Good questions are asked and HR makes you feel comfortable
It's was a quick interaction
The person who did my interview was really friendly and casual.
No interviewing is great process
Ask better question related to the job
Make them in person interviews
Review from Operations Dept
To come to work and have a happy staff teady to go when the clock hits go time
My coworkers and the regulars felt like a actual family, dull days where always rare
Nothing makes me happy at work anymore.
All of my coworkers and managers
The thing I like the most about Cinemark is my coworker. They make work fun.
Managers need to be neutral about open conversations we have as a group instead of singling then out and blaming them for things instead of coming to a conclusion to resolve the issues.
Cleanliness. Quality of tools (brooms, dustpans, card readers, etc.)
Anyone who doesn’t exhibit pure anxiety while running around completing tasks isn’t committed enough. It’s an absurd standard. This is supposed to be a fun job, but all we hear about
Review from Operations Dept
Cinemark needs to focus on the staff members rather then higher ups. Staff needs to start being treated with respect, and either get higher wages, or get much better benefits. Start enforcing all policies with little to no exceptions
Review from Sales Dept
Everything’s is wrong, Cinemark needs too much improvement to name from managers on do
Review from Sales Dept
I enjoy the fact that I can get a discount on food.
I would like to see the company actually take the worker's perspective into consideration when making decisions.
