communicate frankly and try to understand the employee's needs
Review from Engineering Dept
CEO appears to genuinely want to build a good engaged team
Review from Engineering Dept
- Transparency - Clear road map for the company - Concerned about employees
Review from Engineering Dept
Focused motivated team like them
Review from Engineering Dept
I truly believe that the growth and success of clover is their main focus. Which can't be said about all companies
Review from Engineering Dept
Mentoring employees to grow in their careers, and to have this growth happen at Clover. Asking employees, "What do you need to do your job better? How can I help?" Caring about employees happiness and satisfaction. Happy employees = retention.
Review from Engineering Dept
leadership team goals are unclear and not shared. share progress on roadmaps discussed. quarterly/bi-annual feedback from employees is a must.
Review from Engineering Dept
provide trainings for managers. Make performance process known to employees how is it decided who to promote, and who decides numbers?
Review from Engineering Dept
Communication needs to improve a lot
Review from Engineering Dept
The leadership team agrees to unreasonable timelines without consulting the engineers. You can clearly see this for the Ecomm project which anyone who was not in leadership would have told you that Q1 of 2019 was not possible and that adding new hires would not help. Leaders have not heard of rampup
Review from Engineering Dept
Base salary is reasonable. Benefits are also great
Review from Engineering Dept
Commuter package is nice to have.
Review from Engineering Dept
Total sum and other facilities
Review from Engineering Dept
Bonus plan by far is on par with some of the best in the Silicon valley and that is the best part about the comp package
Review from Engineering Dept
Fully paid medical and fully funded HSA
Review from Engineering Dept
competitive packages compared to other bay area companies.
Review from Engineering Dept
Change in leadership and lack of communication failed to attribute efforts translating in change in compensation.
Review from Engineering Dept
The on-call support we do is intense. It is 24/7 and the expectation is that if we are paged then one minute after that page we are online and know what is going wrong or what is affected. We are not being paid appropriately for this support and we do it for all of the countries we are in even thoug
Review from Engineering Dept
I'm a remote employee, and I often feel totally forgotten by leadership. My benefits are significantly worse than my coworkers at other locations. I've gotten glowing performance reviews, but a minor raise over the last three years. Every time I ask about benefits/compensation, it falls on dead ears
Review from Engineering Dept
Raises are very small and only cover inflation. RSUs vest slowly and don't give a lot of incentive to stay at the company. Increasing this amount will help.
Review from Engineering Dept
The team are nimble, efficient and friendly
Review from Engineering Dept
Fairly competent people, experienced team
Review from Engineering Dept
Close-knit team and very helpful
Review from Engineering Dept
Willingness to collaborate. Friendly and positive office culture. The excitement about our work.
Review from Engineering Dept
- Always ready to help - Good technical knowledge - Striving to make the platform more efficient
Review from Engineering Dept
I think there needs to be more communication. It feels like a lot of people just do there own thing. I have trouble in my rule figuring out who to go to for certain issues.
Review from Engineering Dept
There is still a significant "Silicon Valley Bias" and "Not Invented Here Bias". Clover prefers internal convention over industry standard. The teams in Silicon Valley should understand that teams outside of "Mecca" have business objectives to meet just as they do when blocking a tech initiative.
Review from Engineering Dept
Want to get things done. Some engineers genuinely smart, joy to talk about technical aspects.
Review from Engineering Dept
Inclusiveness. We are a very politically correct office and that is a good thing. We have kept the bro-y culture at bay, thank goodness.
Review from Engineering Dept
This is a very nice company
Review from Engineering Dept
Relaxed environment, they also do a good job at providing you with enough food and entertainment to not wanna leave
Review from Engineering Dept
Friendly and supportive work environment
Review from Engineering Dept
Hard shift in execution velocity

More challenging work and bound with coworker
Review from Engineering Dept
Few team members that I have developed a bit of friendship with. We respond to each other's concerns at off hours and odd hours
Review from Engineering Dept
Working on interesting problems. Actually getting to "make" something each day.
Review from Engineering Dept
Achieving goals being set for me
Review from Engineering Dept
Being able to work with a few of my coworkers that are pretty smart and that I can learn from.
Review from Engineering Dept
The working area become very crowded and short of parking space. Need new space.
Review from Engineering Dept
Levels and promotions/compensation rules are totally not transparent and subjectively not fair in some cases and management should be more open about that.
Review from Engineering Dept
Few opportunities to learn and advance
