I have been with DP for a year now. I spent the first year in vet med which was pretty horrible due to poor leadership. I requested a transfer to a pet center (one- bc I worked here several years ago but the main reason was bc I could no longer work under the management at the vet center).
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I have been with Dp for two years. I have worked under two of the worst GM's. My current GM does not work the hours he is required to work nor does he work in his designated area. He's never there, always taking time off. No support from him with our staff, guests or clients.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our techs are always happy to pick up any needed shifts.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It's clear we are all in it for the animals, the way it should be!
What makes you most happy at work?
The dogs, of course, but having good employees who enjoy the job makes it better.
What makes you most happy at work?
I love animals, that's why I'm here. Being able to spend time with our guests, ensuring they are well cared for and getting what they need.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team knows I support them. They communicate well with me with new and on-going issues. They come to me with resolutions for issues, not just complaints.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Even though I have had a GM for the last year, the majority of the workload has been on me. Our RM is aware and has been handling it.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Being a new assistant manager, I have not had a lot of experience so far but I know when I reach out to our RM- he is there and on top of our needs!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't feel like my RM is taking my complaints about my GM seriously. He doesn't work the hours he is supposed to nor does he work in his designated areas. I handle our staff, clients and guests with little support from him. Morale is down due to the fact our staff sees his lack of support for all
