I've been here for 3 years and there is always opportunity for growth. I started as an ACA, and in 5 months was promoted to lead. 2 and half years later I am now assistant manager. My manager is always willing to set up IDPs for anyone that asks. All we want to see is people grow.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone here makes you feel like a friend. On bad days there is always someone willing to lend a hand or even just listen to you. I can come in, get my work done, and have a good time. They make you excited about the job.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We all love to have a laugh. It's never a dull day. We all get along so well, no matter which department you are in, and we always know how to squeeze in a joke. It's easy to find friends here, even if you've just started.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I just got recently promoted to assistant manager and in my short time in this position everyone I have met has been unbelievably friendly, helpful, and communicative. I love how welcomed I feel in my new role, and how excited everyone is for me to grow and learn.
What makes you most happy at work?
The dogs. I've worked with this company for 3 years now and I've really gotten to know the clients and patients. I've grown a real bond with these pets and that's the biggest reason why I could never leave. They give my job purpose. It's the reason I'm here.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My Destination Pet location is one of the highest paying in many departments. We get paid extremely well and the benefits that come along with being an employee are amazing. I save so much in vet bills and on top of that we get free pet insurance which is an unbelievable amount of savings.
