The salary is good, but as a contractor the reality is very different from payroll employees. We often are left out of company dynamics and lack many of the benefits payroll employees have, like paid vacations, career path, etc. Higher salary does not always make up for those differences.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interaction with my workmates, learning new things and improving skills.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I don't have any particular benefits outside of my salary as a contractor.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Communication and engagement. Posts or questions don't get much engagement unless you insist.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Probably communication and interaction with contractors. We're often left out of the dynamics for payroll employees.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Working from home is a key benefit. It's great to have the flexibility to handle our workday as we please (of course while keeping up with the team's needs). Same applies to free days or emergency leaves.
