What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

Friendly and available when needed

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 20 hours ago

Approachable, Willing to help clarify and support in time of need.

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted a day ago

They demonstrate genuine care for the team and me.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

My leadership team has been great because they have created a culture of learning and always asking questions. Everyone has an open door policy and will always be willing to help or answer any questions you have-- no matter their 'title'.

How to think about every member when they make a decision

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Favoritism seems to be pretty frequent at least in my dept and building. I have heard that the rest of esri is better than my dept so I am trying to find a new team because as of now I do not have positive things to say about this company and how they treat their employees especially if they are poc

Review from Marketing Dept

Manage people effectively and provide coaching for improvement and development

Leadership is a click, and there is a wall between 'leadership and front-line workers'. Leadership needs to solicit employee feedback via town halls and anonymous surveys, which is not currently done.

Review from Business Development Dept

Make decision-making organized, efficient, and transparent, support stated goals.

They need to stop playing hot potato with employee complaints and concern and address the concerns with honest responses. The environment here is demoralizing and toxic and will continue to get worse until they choose to acknowledge the complaints.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

Insurance that is supplied is good

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 20 hours ago

Medical Coverage, 401K, This is the best package I've had.

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted a day ago

Considering the overtime payout, it is higher than other similar roles in other companies.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

Bank Time and Healthcare is the best part

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 23 days ago

100% coverage of health insurance premium

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted 23 days ago

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

I think compared to other software/tech companies we are underpaid.

Posted 6 days ago

Most of us trade work satisfaction for pay. I do not feel bad about it.

As a software engineer in the bay area, we are nowhere compensated similar to tech companies around this area. I'd say I'm paid like a junior engineer when comparing to other companies in the bay area. To be fair, the payoff is work life balance here is great and the people I work with is amazing.

Overall, I don't think salaries are good or reflect the true salaries of this industry delivers by competitors or business partners. We have a lot of talent that leaves because of this.

We are paid Inland Empire rates and not necessarily classified correctly for job description.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

We all work together as a team

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 20 hours ago

They all work hard and are dedicated to their area of contribution

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted a day ago

They are patient and affirming.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

Our team is very close, we make sure to have fun while doing our work. Team meetings are always lighthearted but we always get to the point. We consistently take trainings together and do our own quarterly team events. We also celebrate everyone's accomplishments and successes.

How everyone is helpful and kind, they represent oneesri

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 23 days ago

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

It feels too cliquey and not welcome to talk to anybody. They act as if they are too busy to be bothered to talk to you and interactions seemed forced.

Review from Marketing Dept

My department has some great employees, but other departments have some very lazy employees that don't seem to do much.

Review from Marketing Dept

Everyone on the Developer Experience team is very respectful. Results may vary across other teams.

Stop being misogynistic, be open minded (easily come to conclusion without considering other opinions or options), so ego manic. At times, gas lighting just to prove they are "right" but in fact they know nothing of what they are talking about.

Been more responsible for their duties and been there for the team, in general been a team player without and not pointing fingers.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

Nice environment and positive energy

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 20 hours ago

The networking and collaboration. Being able to work cross departmental is a lot of fun

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted a day ago

Work-life balance is genuinely prioritized.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

Everyone at Esri extremely friendly, you can message or talk to anyone you want and learn more about their work, etc. No one will ever turn down a conversation.

Posted 6 days ago

Passion and commitment to the work, self-motivated employees, leadership are down to earth and often available

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted 23 days ago

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Clearer individual visions to help achieve the overall vision. A lot of work is open ended, self motivated, and created. That work is barely tracked or compensated adequately.

Management is disconnected from reality. We receive no cost of living increases and our merit increases don't even keep up with inflation. New hires are making more than employees of over 15+ years experience. When complaints are made HR and Management fight over whose responsibility it is.

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

My interviews were all remote, however there were several rounds of interviews over a couple of weeks. I appreciated the flexibility in not requiring travel to be interviewed for the position.

Review from Sales Dept

I enjoyed being able to talk to several of my future coworkers and leaning from their experiences.

Review from Engineering Dept

The interviewers were intelligent and the questions were what is mostly done in the job

Review from Engineering Dept

There was a lot of communication throughout the process.

Review from Customer Success Dept

A lot of one on ones

Feeling like my skills provide value

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted a day ago

Getting to work on projects that push me to grow in my skills with people I enjoy spending time with.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 2 days ago

Doing a good job, learning new things & going on walks with my coworkers

Posted 6 days ago

When I feel confident with my performance and decision-making; when I have impromptu conversations with other staff

Review from Business Development Dept · Posted 23 days ago

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Company leadership does not have enough top down initiative, and as a result, there is often a lack of communication between teams, late in development emergencies, and a general lack of a shared direction.

workload, uneven work life balance

Review from Business Development Dept

In 30 years with the company, I've watched things change & not for the better. Benefits are great, pay's not commensurate with industry standards. The return to office mandate is counter to ESRI's professed concern for the environment. WFH worked; it's good for the planet & workers mental wellbeing.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I feel undervalued. Opportunities for career growth are limited and often shut down. New hires make more money than 7+ year experienced employees. Esri tries to justify low pay with "great" benefits but these benefits are industry standard. Also, I can't pay rent or buy groceries with benefits.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I feel that this company has the resources to make effective and positive changes when it comes to the compensation of their employees but are stuck in "old ways" on how to run a business. This in turn stunts business and professional growth of their employees.
