What do you like best about the leadership team?

ESRI's leadership has made it their mission to put employees first. By doing this, employees like me feel good about coming to work and pushing the company's goals forward. We will do what it takes to take care of an organization that is taking care of us.

Very supportive and understanding but also trusting that we can do our job without needing to be micromanaged. They are excellent at developing us as employees and keeping us knowledgeable about what is going on within the company. I am lucky to have the leadership team that I do on the GBD AEC team

The are accessable and willing to talk through any questions or concerns you may have. They truly are invested in the career path of employees

They work hard, not just sit around and earn big paychecks while the rest of the company puts in the hard work.

Conservative, thoughtful approach to the strategy of the company. A colleague of mine even received a random phone call from the CEO to thank him for the good work he is doing after a good review from a customer was sent.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Do a better job at helping grow in my career

Consider promoting staff without degrees, they have just as much knowledge and experience as those that went to school over 30,40 years ago. It is elitist to not allow that.

Favoritism seems to be pretty frequent at least in my dept and building. Manage people effectively and provide coaching for improvement and development

Leadership is a click, and there is a wall between 'leadership and front-line workers'. Leadership needs to solicit employee feedback via town halls and anonymous surveys, which is not currently done.

Make decision-making organized, efficient, and transparent, support stated goals.

They need to stop playing hot potato with employee complaints and concern and address the concerns with honest responses. The environment here is demoralizing and toxic and will continue to get worse until they choose to acknowledge the complaints.

Taking action on their employees concerns. They brush off all concerns and complaints and don't actually ever take any action on them. We have all been speaking up in reviews and to HR, and we are brushed off or totally ignored, and sometimes don't even receive responses.

Communication across the board. Maybe they feel that the message gets across at higher levels but by the time it gets to the 'front-line' associates. Most we hear is "everything's fine" and "we're so great" and "we love the work you're doing" but it doesn't seem that they value it.
