I am happy to work at Evonik. It is mostly well managed. Please note that the negativity expressed earlier in my comments of Sr. Leadership pertains mostly to forced Covid vaccinations, and seemingly doing private sector installations of leftist policy on behalf of one political party.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone seeks to do a good job, so motivation levels are high. My immediate managers are good, and coaching is both timely and appropriate. Compensation however isn't keeping pace with inflation, and I am dis-satisfied with the drop in variable compensation that was installed a few years ago.
What are some of the best things about your team?
On the team that I am a part of, the managers are excellent. Coaching is strong, I am supported in my commercial role with tough and demanding customers, and empathy /gratitude comes through in their interactions with me. Dissatisfaction occurs at the most senior levels due to Covid handling.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like selling specialty polymers. I like the people that I work with, and my immediate managers. I like my customers, even though they can be tough and demanding. I like the fact that Evonik is good at manufacturing and makes high quality products (my customers all recognize this).
