The leadership team seems very disconnected from the reality of our day-to-day jobs. There is a strong feeling of lack in planning or strategy in general from the leadership to the "boots on the ground" personnel.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I enjoy working with many colleagues. We have smart and capable people on site. Unfortunately, that is sometimes overshadowed by the incompetent people who are highly valued because they are part of a "boys club" or have seniority.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Leadership doesn't even say "thank you" or "good job." It's always "do more" without any assistance for resourcing. The company leadership requests that each person do more so they don't have to backfill spots from where key personnel have left the company.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I think there is a lack of planning and strategic thinking for our site. Leadership wants to run this pharmaceutical branch of the company in the same way the specialty chemicals parts of the company are run. This leads to lack of investment in the "growth sector" of the company.
