Evonik Corporation Claimed Company
Evonik is one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals companies. We may not manufacture tires, mattresses, medications, or animal feeds, but Evonik is part of all of those products –and many more. While we often contribute only small amounts of material, those contributions are precisely what make the difference. That's because Evonik products make tires fuel-efficient, mattresses more elastic, medications more effective, and animal feeds healthier. That’s what specialty chemicals are all about. And when it comes to specialty chemicals, we're among the best in the world. read more

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Equal pay for female and male team members.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

somewhat flexible work hours The Tippe site doesn't seem to get involved in Evonik culture.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Lack of leadership and involvement from QCL Director Equipment/infrastructure is old and failing New hires are lacking skills to be successful Use of contract staff creates a team that is not invested in success of the company

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Getting involved and actually leading all areas of the department. Recognizing team members need a heathy work/life balance to be successful. Holding people accountable for not doing their job rather than shifting that work to a more reliable team member.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Management needs to hold those accountable that are creating a hostile work environment by gossiping about other team members. Less socializing and more productivity. Director, manager and some supervisors want to be everyone's friend rather than be a leader and hold people to same standards.
