used to be a great place/site to work. Since Evonik has taken over the moral and work life balance has plummeted. Very little acknowledgement from site management about concerns brought up by coworkers

at least there is one
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Much more acknowledgement of being a human that works shift, and work/life balance for shift workers
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
trying to do more with less had lead to unsafe work environment where people are having to work 800+ hours of overtime a year to maintain operational staffing levels
What are some of the best things about your team?
Extremely workplace knowledgeable and experienced. By far better safety knowledge and awareness than what is coming in with management turnover. But under utilized in Evonik hierarchy of short term management structure
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
caring about all workers within the company. Front line, shift workers, plant workers that worked everyday on site during pandemic without any acknowledgment from management. Only to see Evonik make the switch to even more staff/office workers getting more opportunity to work from home in the future
