Hannaford Supermarket Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Lack of presence in stores. Gives them less accountability to the workers

working together supporting all team

willing to pitch in whenever necessary to help in any area

Havent been here long enough to say

Review from Product Dept

My boss is very good at letting you know what you do well, as well as letting me know what and how I can improve on my work. This is always great as I want to mive up the ladder and this in the long run will help with that.

cooperative working as a team each one willing to pitch in at any time

Review from Customer Support Dept

They help to get product out with us

My direct manager is realistic and easy to communicate with. Does their best to prioritize and keep things doable and believes in teamwork.

High level of autonomy and trust for associates

They treat me with respect

Firm in instituting policies yet fair and fun.

Smart and hardworking and caring

They are very open and approachable

They are always there to lend a hand. Very accommodating to all needs.

In-Store operations managers truly go above and beyond to take care of their employees. In the 3 months I have been working at Hannaford my supervisor has regularly taken on extra hours herself covering my job specifically just so that I would not be overworked.

Respectful..kind. work with you on scheduling..understands you have a life out s8de of w9rk

they are understanding and helpful

Quick hire process and right to the point

My direct supervisor is outstanding and tries to get wage and salary increases for the entire team.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Communication and advocating for employees.

Posted 13 days ago

They could be far more organized and observant, as well as actually helping instead of hiding around the store, avoiding responsibility.

Communication and how communication is presented and represented

Seeing whats going on on a day to day basis.. Just pay attention.

They need to schedule better

Communicating clearly as to why wages have not moved in years, Why people making the profits for your company cannot afford to live and eat. Look in the mirror and realize you can take a possible cut from the massive salary you are paid by the labor of subordinates. They wonder why turnover is so hi

Stop harassing their employees and let them take care of our customers

a new store manager and assistant manager

Communication and practicing what they preach

Review from Sales Dept

Clearly communicating rules and expectations.

Having a clearer vision,. It feels like we're lurching from bad idea to bad idea based on the whims of leadership

everything, they have no idea what they are doing

To follow the actual laws in this state and not to call employees family when they are in fact not also treat all employees the same

Review from Sales Dept

Communication, valuing employees, and being present

Everything feels disorganized and never done with the worker in mind first.

Communication, teamwork better training and not keep change schedule benfit them then rest of department

putting employees first, and increasing wages

Open their eyes to what really goes on in the stores, not the show that goes on when they walk thru

There is a clique at the upstate NY stores. The management should not be allowed to bring their "team" with them when they move and displace the current workers. The stores suffer

I would like to have a member of resource managers contact me
