How employees describe working at Healthgrades
Practicing the standards expected of others.
Vaporware galore to the nth degree. Longer than. long hours, 0 time for PTO and 0 accountability from leadership with 0 management. Expect to be laid off for no reason after you've pulled off miracles holding their Frankenstein duct taped "solution" together.
Phenomenal, fantastic, superb, really good.
Miserable, exhausting, physically sickening, frustrating
My work is varied. I am included in key decision making activities, and I feel I can share my ideas openly.

What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Healthgrades? How many hours are you working?
Too many, and it always feels like we’re expected to work more
What's the Engineering team like at Healthgrades?
Good people, lousy upper management
What's the pay like for Engineering roles at Healthgrades?
Below market value. Sometimes very badly so.
How's the work pace at Healthgrades?
Frantic. Too much to do and not enough people to do them.
What are the team outings like at Healthgrades?
Not as good as they used to be.
How challenged are you at Healthgrades?
Things are fairly challenging at HealthGrades at this time. There are lots of technical challenges to overcome, but lots of management headwinds and poor morale to deal with as well.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Healthgrades?
Treat the employees as people, not cogs in a machine that can simply be replaced if broken or worn out.
What do people at Healthgrades think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
The CEO seems to have a good vision about where he wants to take the company, and a (semi-, at least) realistic way of how to get there based on what his direct reports tell him.
How's the work life balance at Healthgrades?
At times, okay. At many other times, non-existent.
Does Healthgrades have any remote positions?
We have 4 offices and a smattering of remote employees. Outside of sales, though, I don't know if we'd hire a new person in a remote position. All our remote engineers started in one of our offices and then moved.
How does Healthgrades make decisions around promotions?
There is very little visibility into the decisionmaking process for promotions. Actually getting promoted from a regular Engineer to a Senior level seems to almost never happen, but getting promoted into a Lead level (or above) sometimes makes perfect sense, other times you wonder what blackmail was leveraged.
How's the vacation policy at Healthgrades?
Vacation is one of the few good things we have going. We currently have 6 weeks PTO (called ETO) granted at the beginning of each calendar year. It doesn't accumulate or roll over, and it does include sick time as well as vacation.
What's the company culture like at Healthgrades?
In shambles. The closest thing to describe it would be constant change.
What benefits does Healthgrades provide?
401(k), 6 weeks paid time off (sick time + vacation), moderate health care, good dental & vision coverage. Maternity leave, Paternity leave.
What is the best part about your compensation package at Healthgrades?
Excellent benefits.
What are some of the best things about your team at Healthgrades?
The collegial atmosphere and professionalism are nice perks.

The quality of leaders and their range of expertise is good.
