I would summarize my experience at HelloFresh over the last 11 months as growth stunting, confidence shattering, and mentally and emotionally draining
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
In my experience, Leadership (and HR) always and only put the business first. The people that comprise HelloFresh are never considered, recognized or valued
What are some of the best things about your team?
My peers and direct reports are fantastic -- they are hard working, dedicated, personable, approachable, friendly and extremely smart. Unfortunately though the company does very little to retain talent, despite our turnover rate on Growth being concerningly high
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My peers and direct reports are overall fantastic people, and in the few instances we are given the time to interact in a manner other than work, we have a really great time. But those chances are few and far between
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The benefits, including Cigna, are worse than previous employers. At a previous employer that offered the same Cigna HSA, they also offered people-based incentives to receive funds from the company (i.e. $100 from company if you got annual physical). HelloFresh elected not to offer this option
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
In my 14 years of working, I have never felt as disempowered by my VP and as unsupported by HR as I do at HelloFresh. It feels like there is no outlet to express your true feelings or concerns, and it is better not to share your opinions or recommendations
