What do you like best about the leadership team?

Approachable, personable, open to communication and creative ideas. No politics

Everyone is accessible, literally. Executives do not have offices, and people can (and do!) walk up to any of them with questions.

The leadership team is visible and approachable. They do their best to be transparent in their decision making, and seem very aware that their decisions don't just effect the business, but actual people.

Leadership is very transparent, and they take employee feedback seriously.

Transparent and do a good job setting OKRs that are understandable and stretch to company.

My salary is competitive and my medical/vision/dental benefits are very good.

Decent pay for a startup

As a startup, the equity is obviously not liquid.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

Collaborative, warm, fun, high level of trust

Smart as a whip and REALLY funny. We all have a good time at work.

The organization is highly collaborative, and exceptionally transparent.

Everyone takes the time to help other team members.

Everyone on the team is friendly and helpful. Everyone acts like an owner, and never says "it's not my job."

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Everyone is valued and respected.

As long as you get your job done, you're mostly left to set your own schedule and OKRs. You get a lot of freedom to get results.

There is a lot of optimism within Hiya. With some of the recent changes in our teams, I feel that some of the less positive influences have moved on and there is a genuinely positive outlook for the company. Also, maintaining our hybrid schedule is incredibly good for morale and productivity.

The people and the projects. Mission of the company is meaningful to me.

There is a sense of fairness and honesty which builds trust between teams that are often far apart geographically.

What did you like most about the interview process?

Doing and presenting the homework gave me a good sense of what it would be like to work at Hiya and whether I would be successful in the role

It was really organized. I knew what to expect and when I would hear back. I got to meet a lot of different people.

The interview process is comprehensive given the time allotted.

The recruiting team was very responsible and set expectations clearly down my interview cycle.

Every interviewer was very nice and respectful. It felt more like mutual discovery rather than 1-way grilling.

What makes you most happy at work?

Outlook Reviews

Accomplishing projects that have high impact on the company; seeing someone on my team succeed

Being able to affect the business every day and move it forward.

Telecom is a small, close-knit industry; we all know and have worked with one another. Hiya's name is recognized worldwide, and I love contributing to its success.

Creating new products that challenge my skills.

Constantly making improvements to make things better for my coworkers.
