I love Hobby Lobby but found the work environment hostile and discouraging because of employee and management attitudes
What did you like most about the interview process?
It seemed very honest and informative but the hours were grossly misrepresented.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Management could lead by doing rather than ordering and threatening. Stocking could be done overnight, ordering should not be done on Saturdays when it is super busy. More thorough product/inventory training. Honesty in interviewing/hiring practices.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Management pushes instead of leads. Hours are great except they don't tell you that you will be there until midnight or later every night stocking (the store closes at 8) and although it is Christian owned, the location I worked at was far from Christian run. It was so disappointing.
