Honeywell recently rescinded (1+ years ago) all work from home, due to a directive from the old CEO. Also, all employees who had arrangements to come into the office for several days a week and WFH the rest of the days due to living far from the office had their arrangements rescinded and were required to come into the office all 5 days/week. I believe this policy is still in effect currently, so no recurring WFH is granted whatsoever. WFH is only allowable on an infrequent basis if your managers and group advocate for you, and you have to notify your manager and HR each time. They track whether you are working from home by your work computer IP address, and follow up if you violate the policy. A lot of people quit the company based on this change. Personally I think it's very backward and was a stupid move for the company to make, even though I didn't even use WFH very often. It was really nice to have that option, but sadly we don't anymore.
Before the pandemic, the work from home policy was non-existent. It was VERY difficult to get approval to work from home regardless of any reason. Now after the pandemic, they were pushing to slowly make people start working from the office full-time again, but there was a lot of backlash and push back from employees. Currently, (for an indefinite period of time) they have a 3-2 schedule where employees have to work at least 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
The company line is you strictly have to report into the office. However in practice it depends on your manager. While they encourage you to come in, they realize there are times when working from home is necessary. Just don't make it a habit or abuse the privilege.
Until forced to allow it with coronavirus it was non-existant and they can’t sit to push everyone back into the buildings again whether or not you need to be physically on premises
Not sure, but you can NEVER do a job at home as well as you could at work. If you need to do work you should be at your job no exceptions!
There shouldn't be a work at home policy. You should go to work like everyone else. By not going to work you are leaving the company understaffed
There should NOT be any reason you can work from home. If you have a job at honeywell you need to be there to be effective
We don't have a "Work from Home" Policy. Doing your job means that you must go to the plant.
Since COVID they have a 3-2 hybrid work schedule. In the office for 3 days; home for 2.
We have no work at home policy. Everyone should be present at the jobsite
The official policy is to work in the office
They actually have a pretty decent one.
There is none
