I really love my job at KFC but after recently coming out as a Transgender Man none of my coworkers are accepting of my new name or title. I gave it time and hardly anything has changed, I even told the owner of the building, the big boss, and she still continues to call me a she and dead-name me.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone's nice at KFC and I appreciate that.
What do you like best about your company?
That the people are nice.
What did you like most about the interview process?
That there were questions that made you really think.
What makes you most happy at work?
My coworkers are why I look forward to working there.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I get paid bi-weekly I think that's great however for employees that work around 25 hours there are no benefits.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
That they get the job done when asked and keep the company running smoothly. I haven't personally talked to any of them though
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company is nice and I appreciate that, they are tolerant but may not be accepting of trans people from what I've experienced first hand.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
More inclusive of LGBTQ people, especially transgenders. I've let my crew know multiple times but to no avail. I want to quit most days because of this. I've heard manager say disrespectful things about me as well about my gender identity in another room as well.
