The teachers who do all the work and carry the company on their back make anywhere from $10-$18 per hour. It's sickening to see the executives profit off the work the teachers do everyday. I think parents would be LIVID if they found out how little the teachers of their children make.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The positive culture comes from the director and the environment she has created. Corporate is completely disconnected from us.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I have created my team. They are passionate, trustworthy, kind educators who make the world a little better every day by caring for young children.
What makes you most happy at work?
The fact that I get to teach and protect the most vulnerable people - our children. Above all else, we must care for our children.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I get paid too little for the work I do, and the benefits are barely decent. I would feel better if teachers all made $17-$25 per hour, AD's made $27-$30 and CD's made $30-$40.
