How's the vacation policy at Kroger?

After a year your given a week vacation and two days personal. Before each year around the break room you sign up for your vacation. This is like a guarantee given vacation. Like some one else says if some one else in your department all so requested the same week then seniority kicks in. If you haven't signed up this way it's the department heads decision. They look at available back up for you and yes you should give them 2 week notice because we are bi weekly scheduled company. You should receive you vacation pay before your vacation. Less you set it up ahead of time to receive it later like a normal paycheck. Friday less direct deposit which would be Thursday at 4 a.m or if your bank is a credit union you can git it even sooner like Wednesday. No one at Kroger should know you direct deposit information.

I’ve been at Kroger (part time ) for a year 1/2 I must get my vacation days, with pay before time runs out… (?) should I talk to mng’mt, or request this 2weeks ahead, online, hmm, help would be greatly appreciated. N. Heroux (summer waring store/ Mphs., Tn) Much obliged ????????

The management used to have us submit requests and then based on seniority they would approve or not approve our first second and third choices... Now they require me to find coverage for all shifts. It makes vacation feel like a chore

If a vacation week has been approved and put on the board that you are off can a boss call you and tell you that you have to come in?

Frankly? A sorry excuse. I had to cover all my shifts myself. The Management didn't even try to help. I Should be in the office scheduling instead of them.

You only get 1 paid vacation a year, and it is only for32 hours
