Employees aren't paid a good enough or high enough salary, according to their time with the company and experience, knowledge, work habits. They're treated and paid like someone who walks in off the street woot the same experience. It's SAD!!

Management and the bad treatment
I think Macy's is a dying company-- they refuse to update for a changing era and as a result, they will be left behind. Poor organization, tacky items, unreasonable prices, bad marketing, and strictly gendered toy sections.
They need to be more specific when they advertise there sale on what brand and how much the sale. They need to have good communication with the staff and employees.. they need to explain the benefits of a colleague's more specific and transparent

All I listen to is bad feedback. Personally I agree with the customers. The leadership is a lone ship of blissful ignorance papeling credit and falsely indicating customer experience metrics.
Management has fostered this environment where only positive praise (regardless if its deserved) is excepted. Anything else is labeled as negative and should be censored. All care and improvements for hourly are only done reactively to make the company not look bad publicly.

Fire all managers and hire ones that actually have customer service skills. Not condescending bullies, that get away in treating veteran employees like trash. Most lack communications skills and are lazy leave sales associates alone on major sales days with up to 15 customers.
