By ALWAYS siding with the supervisor. Supervisors are not accountable for their time because they do not punch a time clock. Supervisor is not at work a lot and most likely still getting paid for it. If you take this to HR, they will not hear of it. Job opening opportunities are filled because of who you know, not skills, abilities, job knowledge, experience, certifications, or time on the job.
