the company has multiple levels of payroll designed to heavily screen my pay. even when all resources, including managment are exhausted to prove its a rightful payment. they decline or delay payments. it is an admitted tactic by the employees that do it, to simply get by without paying.
I enjoy my job. I take pride in doing the best i can for NS and our customers. However, alot of times managment combes thru a situation looking to find the smallest thing wrong to write up. This DOES NOT make a team, this makes a hostile work enviroment.
The stated culture is team based. That's far from true actions, regardless of the idea, if it doesn't come from the top it will not be considered. Discipline for rule compliance is not based on education, it's based on a quota that if the managers don't find infractions they're not doing their job.
My coworkers truly care about each others safety and truly want NS to be successful. However all of us see that NS is willing to shortchange our customers in the name of gratifying some report that will be talked about at 6 AM or to not have to call in a second crew to make sure the work is complete
