Leadership at NS is incompetent and under experienced at best.They have no understanding of the tasks at hand or the processes it takes to complete them.

This company doesn't practice diversity at all there have been many instances of discrimination but a large powerful company is hard to prove this without them firing you and destroying your credibility when I first was hired in the 2000s there was Noose hanging in thier old carpenter shop

Communication , we dont have any it is a "it's not my problem"or "next shift will get it",but it's hard to take care of something if it doesn't get passed along to the next crew, shift.

The retirement plan is great and health insurance is very cheap compared to other companies but the stuff you go through makes it hard for a black man in this company

An outside company needs to do a independent investigation to the conduct of those in power positions then you can get to the bottom or a worker needs to take notes of all issues that they see and have documentation to prove facts cause the company will pay to get themselves out of trouble

When you hear about the next subdivision over getting lunches and dinners planned while you do more work and are more productive but get nothing, yeah fix that. They continue to find ways to push more responsibility off onto Foreman in an already stressful job, maybe let them work and handle it
